Code of Conduct

●      Strict silence, decorum and discipline must be maintained in the library.

●      Use of cellphones is also not allowed inside the library

●      Smoking, eating, sleeping, and talking loudly are strictly prohibited in the library.

●      Users are not allowed to enter inside the library wearing shorts.

●      Any type of group discussion inside the library is not permissible.

●      Arrangement of chairs in the reading room should not be disturbed.

●      Folders, files, borrowed books and personal books etc. are not allowed inside the library.

●      Students can keep their personal belongings in the property counter (near the entrance of library) at their own risk. Library is not responsible for any loss from property counter.

●      Books or any other reading materials should not be taken out of the library without the permission of the library staff.

●      Documents taken out of the shelves must be left on the table. Replacing the books on shelves is not encouraged as it may get misplaced. Misplaced book is like a lost book.

●      Newspapers, magazines, and journals must be read only in the library on specific tables and should not be taken to any other reading areas.

●      Readers should not mark, underline, dog-ear, write, tear pages or otherwise damage the library documents.

●      Computers in the library reading room are meant for browsing library databases only. Use of these computers for social networking or entertainment is forbidden.

●      Do not remove LAN cord, keyboard, mouse, and any electrical connection from the computers.

●      No library material can be taken out of the library without permission. Unauthorized removal of anything belonging to the library will be treated as theft and dealt accordingly.

●      Before leaving the library every user/visitor to the library should allow the security personnel to check him/her as per rules of the library security.

●      Anyone violates  the  rules  and  regulations  of  the  library  would  be   liable  to  lose  the  privilege  of  library membership and may be debarred from using the library facilities.

●      Suggestions on all aspects of library services are welcome.
